FAVA Shop Policies
Below are links to all the policies that pertain to the FAVA Shop. Please note that these policies only regard the FAVA Shop and have no impact or relations to the other sales activities of the Film and Video Arts Society of Alberta. The refunds and returns policy can be found below, but you can navigate to the other pages by clicking the links.
Refunds and Returns Policy
FAVA’s Merchandising utilizes POD (Print-on-demand) technology via a third-party service. The benefit to this is that we do not hold unnecessary inventory and products are made for you when you order them, ensuring there is no material waste. The downside to this is that products are not easily exchanged or returned. If you would like to initiate a return, please email [email protected] first.
Any claims for misprinted/damaged/defective items must be submitted within 30 days after the product has been received. For packages lost in transit, all claims must be submitted no later than 30 days after the estimated delivery date. If you notice an issue on the products or anything else on the order, please email [email protected] and we will submit a problem report to the manufacturer.
The return address is set by default to the manufacturer’s facility, not FAVA’s base of operations. If you are local to the Edmonton Area and you would like to return your purchase directly to FAVA, please email [email protected] and we will see how we can help you. Please remember that FAVA does NOT keep much, if any, inventory of our merch and cannot handle exchanges in-person.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned such as face masks, candles, underwear, swimwear, and perishables. Products like water bottles and mugs are not eligible for return once used.
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.
We do NOT refund orders for buyer’s remorse.
If you provide an address that is considered insufficient by the courier, the shipment will be returned to our manufacturer’s facility. You will be liable for reshipment costs once we have confirmed an updated address with you (if and as applicable).
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
HOW TO RETURN:
To return your product, make sure you’ve reviewed the policies and emailed [email protected] first. Then, should mail your product to the return address included on the slip in the packaging you received.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
