Arts Administration, Social Media, Comics, Writing
Sylvia Douglas is an arts administrator, writer, and volunteer at Happy Harbor Comics. She has established a student art gallery and worked in several museums and theatres in Edmonton. After completing a degree in English and History from the University of Alberta and a Diploma in Arts and Cultural Management from MacEwan University she now works full time at the Film and Video Arts Society of Alberta and is serving on the Board of Directors for Alberta Media Artists Alliance Society. Occasionally, Sylvia still provides tours of the Calgary and Edmonton Railway Station Museum and serves on the museum’s committee with support from the Junior League of Edmonton. She stays involved at her favourite comic shop by organizing a monthly ladies’ night, that she co-founded, at Happy Harbor Comics.
