Eva is a filmmaker and a past President of FAVA.
Directing, Producing, Writing
Eva is an independent filmmaker who has written, directed and produced over a dozen award-winning shortfilms in the dramatic and experimental genre, among them 2.57k, Granny Baby, The Weightless Traveller, End of the Rope, LUZ and HandSum. She has also written and directed three documentaries for the National Film Board of Canada – We Regret to Inform you…, The Elder Project and The Enemy Within. Her films have been seen at many international festivals around the globe and she has received several awards for her accomplishments.
With a background in theatre and arts, Eva has also created media installations and visual imagery for theatre-, dance- and music performance and continues to collaborate with different artists and filmmakers on new innovative projects.
Eva also enjoys teaching filmmaking, directing and acting to various community groups reaching from at-risk teens to new immigrants and industry professionals
Eva is a proud WIDC alumnae and has served on the board of FAVA for many years. She is a co-founder of DOC-AB, past president of amaas, past board member of EIFF and presently is a board member of METRO Cinema.
