Christina Ienna is a award winning Canadian independent filmmaker and cinematographer in Edmonton, Alberta. With a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Film and Communication Studies from the University of Windsor and nearly nine years working within the film industry, Ienna has filled a wide range of roles. Whether she is directing and producing her own work, camera assisting on major productions or pursuing her true passion of cinematography, Ienna has always thrived on set. This experience along with a diverse skill set, adaptable nature and absolute devotion to the industry is extremely evident in the quality of work she produces.
Ienna recently worked on the CBC documentary series The Great Human Odyssey directed by Niobe Thompson. She spent over eighteen months assisting editor Brenda Terning as a digital image technician and was also credited as one of the cinematographers for the project’s behind the scenes Making of a Film Score. Both projects were recipients of Rosie Awards this year.
