Call for Volunteers

IQ Edmonton 2022

September 18-24, 2022

Alberta Filmmakers! An amazing networking opportunity is coming to Edmonton this September, and we need your help to volunteer!

From September 18 thru 24, 2022 Panacea Entertainment is hosting the annual conference of the International Quorum of Motion Picture and Television Producers (IQ) here in Edmonton. Previous conferences have been held in Dublin, Mexico City, New Delhi, Reykjavik, Panama, Sydney, Prague, Quito, Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, New York and many other locales.

Producers and production company owners will travel to Edmonton from all across the globe, including Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Europe, Scandinavia, Iceland, Africa, Russia, the Middle East, Mexico, Central and South America and from every corner of the U.S. and Canada.

The purpose of hosting the IQ conference is to familiarize attendees with Edmonton as a filming location. Between 60 and 80 attendees will tour unique Edmonton locations when they’re not in the daily plenary sessions at the Sandman Signature Downtown Edmonton Hotel ballroom.

Conference volunteers will have a weeklong opportunity to meet and interact with these producers, whose production formats span everything from high end commercials for global brands to big budget star-driven feature films to prestige social documentaries and much more.

Volunteer positions are available in the following verticals:

  1. Marketing & Publicity
  2. Transportation & Logistics
  3. Speaker & Panel Presentations
  4. Sponsorship Opportunities
  5. Technical Operations
  6. Volunteer Management

The commitment would entail participating in preparatory meetings and undertaking organizational tasks in advance as well as full-time or part-time availability during the conference between September 16 to 25.  Meals will be provided for those on site.

If you would like to volunteer, please contact Josh Miller at [email protected]naceaentertainment.com. Please provide your bio and indicate your area of interest from the above list.
