The 10th Annual Gotta Minute Film Festival – Call for Submissions
March 13 - June 18

Submissions are NOW OPEN for the 10th Annual Gotta Minute Film Festival! Submit your one-minute, silent film any time from now until June 18th on FilmFreeway. Free submissions for FAVA Members and youth (17 and under). Email [email protected] for the discount code! Regular submissions are $20/film.
Gotta Minute is Western Canada’s first film fest for commuters, proudly brought to you by PATTISON and FAVA. It is a celebration of public art and features one-minute silent short films in public spaces. The 2023 festival will run this fall, from September 11th – 24th. All genres and forms of films are accepted, so whether you have a documentary, experimental, narrative, or animated film, as long as it’s EXACTLY one minute and silent, it has a place in the GMFF!
Selected submissions are eligible for AMAZING prizes, including cash prizes of up to $1,000! Visit gottaminutefilmfestival.ca for more information about all things GMFF.
GMFF is co-produced by Pattison and FAVA, supported by the Edmonton Arts Council and the City of Edmonton, and presented by The Metro Cinema, the Edmonton Public Library, and the Calgary Public Library. Look forward to seeing the amazing one-minute films on our presenting partners’ screens and on the Edmonton LTR and Calgary C-train this September.
