Script Lab
November 5, 11:00 AM - December 10, 2:00 PM
$349
Script Lab is our intermediate course which follows Intro to Screenwriting (or equivalent experience). In this six-week screenwriting course, writers are able to bring their scripts in to be read and workshopped with other writers and actors. During your time in Script Lab, you will get plenty of opportunities to stress-test your script’s story and dialogue and learn to analyze scripts from various perspectives, including that of an actor, director, and audience member. Script Lab is a collaborative course; you and your peers will be helping each other to produce the best possible version of your scripts in an environment that sets everyone up for success.
Registrants are expected to have a script (it does not have to be a final draft!) upon entry to the course.
Registrants will receive:
- a guide to script formatting and analysis
- helpful reading list and writing exercises
- access to experienced actors
- individualized script feedback
- a package of helpful resources for writers to cast their scripts
