Introduction to Storyboarding

This lecture is about the purpose of storyboards, their various functions, and how they can be used to help tell clear and concise visual stories in interesting and exciting ways. The presentation will include a brief history of storyboarding, with a series of observations and examples to help a director think about their possible uses in live action and animation. A myriad of resources for planning live action and animation projects will be provided.

Kevin D. A. Kurytnik is an Assistant Professor at AUArts who is also an animation director, writer, and animator, with his most recent project being the award winning Skin for Skin for the NFB North West Studio.
