Where: ONLINE (Zoom)
When: November 5th, 2022, 11am-1pm
Registration Deadline: November 1st
Cost: $20
Instructor: Maya Appavoo

Maya Appavoo is a 21-year-old writer and award-winning composer from Edmonton, Alberta. A comedy writer at heart, she graduated the Writing for Film, Television, and Games program at Vancouver Film School, but found a love for drama along the way. She’s now the lead writer on Road X, an audio drama podcast. Her goal is to be able to represent herself as a queer woman of colour, and create the media she wishes she’d had growing up, so the younger generations grow up feeling less alone (or to create an army of queer brown girls who can help her take down the patriarchy, either’s fine by her).
