Studio 19

Streaming & recording of live performances

What is Studio 19?

Studio 19 is not a place. It is a production service that supports performing arts and community groups with the resources they need to capture live performances, record them, and stream them to internet-based audiences locally, here in Edmonton, and worldwide.

Services include access to:

  • Single or multi-camera field production resources
  • Multiple sound stage and theatre resource
  • Archiving technology to start your digital content and resource library
  • Custom-built exhibition and streaming platforms through FAVATV

The Studio 19 initiative can help your organization capture and share live performances, workshops, classes, podcasts, and festival events from the location or studio of your choosing. (Streaming available only with appropriate broadband).

Why Studio 19?

Covid-19 has prevented performing arts from delivering works to audiences. The Studio 19 initiative was designed to provide an online solution for capturing, disseminating, exhibiting, live performing arts events, and delivering on-demand visual media for festivals.

With the possibility of restrictions easing and organizations going back to a version of in-person events and performances, Studio 19 gives organizations the ability to ensure they can still make their work accessible to all.
