ABOUT FAVA
The Film and Video Arts Society (FAVA) is a Not-For-Profit Artist-Run-Centre for Film, Video, and Media artists. Since 1982 we have offered equipment, studios, education, community & more.
Whether you have grand aspirations and don’t know where to start, or you are an established creative looking to develop your next project, FAVA is here to help!

EQUIPMENT
FAVA is the place to make films and we have the gear to support your project! We have a wide variety of equipment for members of all skill sets. From HD digital cameras and Super 8 film, to a 5K RED EPIC and Arri 35mm film cameras all at artist rates for independent artist run productions.
STUDIOS
Our production studios range from 800-3000sq/ft including a green screen space, recording studio that is plug and play, post-production suite featuring 4K projection and 5.1 sound, a darkroom for film processing, & more. The space you need to create is at FAVA.

AMS-NETWORK
Arts Management System
FAVA, in partnership with arts organizations across Canada, have developed an online app to manage the unique business of arts organizations. The AMS tool allows members to manage membership data, programs and events, equipment and facilities, shared resources, custom reporting, presentation and exhibition, archival storage, grant submissions, and more.

No ads. No fees. Access hi-res versions of local independent film, video, and media art online right now. You can find any genre, discipline, and style as well as including recorded live performances right here on FAVA TV made by local artists. Publicly accessible or password protected. FAVA TV also acts as our community’s digital archive.
