Thank you to all members that attended our AGM in-person and online!

2020 Elected Board Members:
President: Andrew Scholotiuk
As a member of FAVA for the last 16 years, I’m excited to be stepping to this new role. I have a background in cinematography and stage management which lead to producing feature length films. Some of which were nominated for Canadian Screen Award and a recipient of a Lumiere award. I’m currently a project director at indie game studio Beamdog heading up a new virtual production team.
Treasurer: Clare Mullen
Is the Treasurer at FAVA.
Programming Chair: Tom Robinson
My name is Tom Robinson, and I’m a writer and communicator, a filmmaker, and a member of FAVA for almost 10 years. As Programing Chair, I will work as a researcher and communicator between the membership and FAVA programming – my goal is to find out what the membership wants, and work with the Programming Department to address and implement those ideas. I wish to provide FAVA with as much useful information about itself as possible, because organizations that know themselves will make better decisions about themselves.
Video Chair: Rebecca Campbell
Rebecca is a producer/director focusing on documentary and kid’s content. She has won two AMPIA awards and her content can be found on AMI-tv, CBC Kids, CBC Digital, CBC Gem, TELUS TV, and international airlines. Rebecca is the Edmonton regional producer at AMI-tv. She is also currently in post-production on her first feature-length documentary.
Returning Board Members:
Vice President: Dave Morgan
Dave is a filmmaker, is the current VP, past employee, an advocate for the divine right of film and dog person. He finds Fava oddly enchanting. He wishes Fava to continue its journey to be a world class media arts centre be welcoming to all to tell their stories.
Secretary: Edmon Rotea
Is the Board Secretary at FAVA.
Film Chair: David Baron
Is the Film Chair at FAVA.
Exhibition & Distribution Chair: Dana Rayment
I am a multi genre artist with a theatre company, Theatre of the New Heart. I have worked in the visual arts field for the past 30 years. I am a writer. I write for theatre and short films, spoken word and non fiction.I make art installations with lighting and other forms.. I have taken all but two of the courses at FAVA. I have made films for theatre and for festivals. I also run a PIlates business and work as a part time chaplain at NAIT and MacEwan.
I have been on the FAVA board for the past 5 years and this year my goal is to be a “senior”. I want to provide history, be of help for new board members to ask and answer any questions they need. I plan to bug AMS more and despite my lack of “coding” knowledge, be of assistance wherever I can with them. My vision for FAVA is to find ways to include and celebrate the multi genre uses that film offers plus celebrate the filming knowledge and community that FAVA has been offering.
