Vision Quest

A new film and video scholarship program

Not currently accepting applications, watch for updates

Many people, particularly First Nations, newcomers, and people with disabilites, have skills that go unrecognized or underutilized. Social, economic or cultural barriers sometimes keep people from participating in and contribution to the arts.

If circumstances like these are preventing you from pursuing your filmmaking dreams, FAVA’s Vision Quest program might be a resource for you.

The Film and Video Arts Society of Alberta (FAVA) is offering film study scholarships to foster diversity and improve access. These Vision Quest scholarships are supported by the Edmonton Arts Council.

Not currently accepting applications, watch for updates

Scholarship includes:

  • a free one-year FAVA membership
  • tuition fees for one of FAVA’s media arts programs
  • bus passes and meal stipends for all instruction days

How it works:

Call or visit the Programming Department at FAVA, and have a chat about your film aspirations. Phone us at 780-429-1671 or email programming at fava dot ca.
