Coty Savard is an emerging Dene, Cree and Métis Filmmaker/ Producer. One of her most recent works “Dear Mr Prime Minister”, was featured on “Canada’s top 10 favourite CBC Arts stories of 2016”. Her films and projects often concentrate on the varied, complex and sometimes uncomfortable reality of Indigenous experiences in Canada. Her first short film Pehonan discussed the over-representation of Indigenous people in Edmonton Alberta’s homeless population. Pehonan is now being featured in Cinema Politicas: First People, First Screens, and available in their international networks.
