FAVASCOPE:

FAVAScope is the annual publication of the Film and Video Arts Society ­ Alberta. It is our contribution to the discourse of contemporary independent media arts, it promotes FAVA, its members, activities, and associates.

Circulation and Distribution

Insider knowledge has allowed us to gain vital information about our readership and how to reach them. Our publication will be distributed to our members through direct delivery and postal service as well as local cafes, restaurants, and businesses. It will also be distributed and replenished at cultural outlets like Metro Cinema, the Princess Theatre, and film festivals like the $100 Film Festival, Herland, Edmonton International, Calgary International and Global Visions. Post secondary institutions and arts organizations across Canada are also targeted. Some of these outlets include Film Studies and New Media programs at the University of Alberta, Grant McEwan, ACAD, University of Calgary, Vancouver Film School, University of Manitoba, and Ryerson Film School. FAVAScope is also distributed to production and media centers across the nation. Though FAVAScope is published only once a year, we continually replenish the stock; last year we had to replenish up to 5 times in certain venues.

With a circulation of over 1500, and national distribution you can achieve a greater reach with FAVAScope than any other local publication. FAVA members receive a $25 discount for ads.
