CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: FRESHWORKS
Metro Cinema and FAVA invite filmmakers from central and northern Alberta, and all FAVA members, to submit their recent films and videos, of whatever genre, type or length, to be screened as part of Freshworks, a periodic screening series presented by FAVA and Metro Cinema.
Metro Cinema and FAVA will be presenting a series of screenings, entitled Freshworks,
which will consist of recent works by members of FAVA, and by any filmmakers from central or northern Alberta. We are seeking submissions of works produced in the last 18 months. There will be multiple deadlines and screenings throughout the year.
With your submission, please include a completed submission form, and a brief description of your work (including date of completion and original production format). Preview copies may be submitted on DVD only. Works must be submitted in final edited form. Works-in-progress are not considered.
The works will be selected by curators from Metro Cinema and FAVA. Artists whose work is included in the program will have their work screened once in a theatrical context, as part of this film series. Artists will be paid IMAA rates for single screening fee rentals. There is no submission fee.
Please note that the responsibility for ensuring that a submitted work plays properly from start to finish on a standard DVD player rests with the applicant. Submissions with playback problems cannot be guaranteed consideration.
Submissions must be RECEIVED by 5pm, May 1, 2012 at either Metro Cinema or
FAVA.
